About

We do not chase signatures. We earn trust.

That sentence is on the wall at the shop in Cranford. Everything below is what it costs us to mean it.

Juan Gallego, founder
Juan Gallego · Founder · Est. 2020

Started in 2020, for a specific reason.

Juan spent years inside the solar industry watching the same pattern: a hard close in the kitchen, a subcontracted crew nobody vetted, and a phone number that stops working the week after the panels go up. The product was fine. The company around it was not.

Advisor Solar was built to fix the part that was broken. Get the roofing license so nobody has to coordinate two contractors. Keep the crews on payroll. Put the owner on the job every day. Tell homeowners the truth about the math even when the truth is wait a year.

It stayed a family business on purpose. The people who answer the phone and the people on your roof are the same small group, and they live in the same New Jersey towns you do. We also get the same utility bill you get, and we have had a roof fail at the worst possible time of year. When we tell you the numbers are not there yet, it is not a negotiating tactic. We have sat on your side of that table.

Six years and more than two thousand installations later, that is still the whole operating theory. It is also why nearly every review on our Google profile mentions Juan by name.

The standard, on every job
01
The owner walks the job every day it is open.
02
Site swept and magnet-rolled before the crew leaves, every day.
03
Written schedule before the first delivery lands in your driveway.
04
Permits, inspections, and utility interconnection filed by us.
05
One contract and one schedule of values for roof and solar together.
06
Written workmanship warranty on both trades, plus manufacturer coverage.
The unpopular part

Three situations where we tell people not to buy.

01
The bill is under $110 a month
There is not enough consumption to offset. The payback stretches past the point where it is a good use of your money, and we will say so.
02
Mature trees on the south face
Shade modeling either works or it does not. We are not going to suggest you take down two oaks to make our proposal look better.
03
You are moving inside three years
Owned solar generally helps at resale, but you will not have recovered the outlay. Replace the roof if it needs it and leave the array to the next owner.

A no costs us one sale. A yes we should not have sold costs us the next ten referrals.
